Race Report
This race was 3 weeks before Ironman UK so perfect timing for a half and it also had good competition with Joel Jameson racing so would be a good test. I managed to get out of the water in joint 2nd which was good, once out on the bike I settled into a good rhythm and went about catching 1st place. Once I caught him it was quite strange as I had no idea weather Joel was catching me or anyone for that matter and what the time gaps were to any of the others.
Once I arrived into transition I was told I had 5 minutes at the last point when they managed to get a time split, great I should have this in the bag as long as nothing drastic goes wrong I thought. When I started running my legs felt good I knew I was racing a half distance race in Norway the following week so I just ran tempo for the run and was happy to average 5m58 pace on a tough circuit which was the fastest I have actually managed to run in a half distance race and the course at Cholmondeley was the toughest I have competed on with the exception of Wimbleball.
